Annual Major General Frank H. Smoker, Jr. Foxhole Invitational

Due to the uncertainty with the current Covid-19 Pandemic, the Museum Board of Directors voted on 3/27/2020 to cancel the 2020 Annual Major General Frank H. Smoker, Jr. Foxhole Invitational.

The first fund raising golf tournament was held in 2009 with the purpose of helping to preserve our 1890s Victorian Range House, which became part of the museum complex, housing many of the National Guard’s marksmanship items and trophies of the day.

In 2010, we dedicated the annual tournament to the memory of Major General Frank H. Smoker, Jr., who passed away on July 16th, 2010. General Smoker served as president of the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Museum from 1985 to January 12, 2010. The museum was a labor of love for General Smoker and we are sure he will be keeping watch over it for eternity. General Smoker was a man of honor and we are proud to call him a forever friend of the museum.
